Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a unique pop star: a superstar who crossed over completely from the world of country music to pop culture to become a global icon that is enduring as she captures the hearts and minds of millions across the world. Swift has shed her country roots like they were a second skin and revealed that she was possibly the most savvy popular singer and songwriter of her age one that could tap into the mood of the moment and personalize it and equally impressively do opposite. This was evident in her early hits including the neo-tribute Tim McGraw but her second album 2008's Fearless was a showcase of a songwriter discovering her true identity and in the process, finding masses of fans. The album was a big hit not only within the U.S., with six platinum-certified singles thanks of the Top Ten songs Love Story & I Belong with Me. It also did well internationally in regions such as The U.K. Canada & Australia. Speak Now delivered almost two years later, which consolidated the success and helped propel Swift towards the top of celebrity. She grew in popularity over the course of three subsequent albums, Red (2012) as well as 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017) in addition to Reputation (2017), and had established herself in the genre she was a part of. Her music remained on top of pop even when she cut back on her appearance by releasing her folklore album with siblings in 2020 and Evermore.
