Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is an extremely popular American following her win on American Idol's debut season. The victory not only propelled her to stardom, but also earned her a multi-album recording contract in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings and S Records. Since her debut her album, she's released several albums. Of those albums three made it to the top of the US Billboard 200. The others were close to the top spot. They consider her to be one of the most successful American Idol artists. When she was successful, she explored a variety of topics and styles of music, often co-writing her songs in accordance to her own personal experiences. Because of her distinctiveness and vocal talent, she has received critical acclaim as well as various prizes. She's been honored with an award called the Grammy Award 3 times. In addition, she has appeared on television and films. She is also the author of the novel for children called River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and involved with many charities.
