Salma Hayek was born in Mexico to Spanish-Lebanese Parents. The actress was born in Mexico to a wealthy Roman Catholic family. At the age of a young girl, she was inspired to pursue a career in acting after watching the movie "Willy Woonka & The Chocolate Factory.'
