Her role as Willie Scott (an American nightclub singer and performer) in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), directed by her husband Steven Spielberg, is her most well-known. She was in Dreamscape (1984), Power (86), SpaceCamp (1986) and The Black Rain(89), Love Affair, Love Affair (1994), Just Cause (1895) and The Love Letter (1999), she has continued to become a household name. The work of her portraits has been exhibited in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was born Kathleen Sue Nail in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), a travel agent and beautician, and Edwin Leon Nail, an airline employee of the airline. At the age of five she moved to St. Louis and graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw received a degree from the University of Missouri in education. She was also a part of Alpha Delta Pi. She taught Special Education at Southern Boone High School in Ashland, Missouri, and Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri.
